Travel Information

By Car (from Funchal Airport):
- The journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes by car.
- Leaving the airport, follow signs to Funchal ER101.
- Come off the motorway at exit 13, signposted Funchal (Boa Nova)/ Camaha/ Portela.
- Turn left along the ER204 (beware of traffic from the right).
- Pass under a small bridge, and follow signs to Funchal - Boa Nova. Go straight on.
- On arriving at a pink house on the right, with a palm tree that seems to grow from its roof, follow the road to the right (sharp bend).
- Just off the bend, take an immediate left downwards (very steep) to Rua da Rochinha, where you will see a 3.5t warning sign.
- Go down this very steep road and take the second turning on the left, to Travessa Manuel Alexandre, a small cobbled street, in between 2 high walls, a school and Quinta Mãe dos Homens.
- Halfway along this road, on the right, you will see a big green gate. Ring the bell on the left.
- Welcome to Quinta Mãe dos Homens, Garden Village.
